About me

François Vouvray

Born in France

I am a French-American pastry instructor, inspired by my years in France where I discovered the incredible world of éclairs, petits gâteaux, entremets, tarts, and so much more.

Moving to California

When I later moved to California, I loved everything - except that authentic French pastry was missing. Determined to bring it here, I began learning pastry from scratch, eventually leaving my job to attend pastry school and train with renowned French pastry chefs both in the United States and in France.

Blog and TV shows

I started a pastry blog that quickly gained popularity, and soon a BBC production invited me to be part of a pastry show for several months. It was an incredible opportunity that allowed me to meet some of my pastry heroes.

The visibility opened new doors in Los Angeles, where people began asking me to create French desserts. One of my proudest moments was designing a cake for famous singers, (including a singer of the Beatles!), as well as for several Hollywood actors.

Pastry Instructor

Soon after, I started teaching pastry classes in Los Angeles, which became very popular as I made sure every student received the best possible learning experience.

Now, I’ve expanded my teaching to this online platform so that students everywhere can discover the joy and artistry of French pastry.

Pastry is Love

❤️ I believe pastry is an act of love and teaching you my recipes is my way of inspiring you to spread that love in your own kitchen.

Like with many students who have already trained with me, I can’t wait for you to try my recipes and share your results. I want you to succeed!
